#1 Daddy

As we come upon the fourth holiday that Scot will be absent for (who would have thought you could miss 4 holidays in 10 weeks? Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, 4th of July)...I thought I'd share the video montage I made for him for Father's Day. We also sent him a fuzzy blanket, a fitted sheet (I had no idea he didn't have these things!), and some of his favorite snacks.

Not much to say

other than that we are keeping on with life and having fun, but missing him so much.

He did a great thing and taped himself reading some more books at the USO building - the package arrived a few days ago with a book and dvd for each girl. They were so happy! When he first comes on the television, Reese waves. Every time. So cute. But depressing too - when I say "Dada" she looks for the computer or the tv.

Ava follows along diligently with her book while he reads. I also helped Ava make a paper chain when we got to the halfway point on June 5. We take a link off at bedtime each night. Unfortunately it sounds like I may have to secretly add 6 more links...and to those who will inevitably tell me, "that's not that bad", I respectfully disagree.
