HOME

I've been horribly delinquent at blogging again...but for good reason. Since my latest post on the 4th, we were busy suffering through the last week of Scot's deployment and then enjoying our time with him upon his return. It goes without saying [though I will go ahead and say it anyway] that it is amazing, incredible, wonderful to have him back home again.

He arrived home one day later than his originally scheduled return date...but I knew about the delay 4 or 5 days in advance so I was able to mentally prepare myself for it fairly well. We met him out at the airport on Sunday, July 11th - 71 days after he left. Here are some pictures from that very happy day!

10 Signs We're Ready for Daddy to Come Home

10. The TV is buzzing, the DVD player stopped working, and the car needs a new transmission solenoid regulator valve bore.

9. The 18 month old thinks Daddy lives in the computer.

8. The 4 year old thinks he's never coming back.

7. The cats think that peeing on virtually everything in the house will make him come back sooner.

6. I think (no, I am sure) I will be sent to the funny farm any minute now.

5. Some days I can't wait to go to work.

4. A happy marriage requires more than 60 minutes of conversation per week. (Or maybe not? ;-))

3. Some girl is always crying. (Oh wait, that one probably won't change and yes, that includes me)

2. Love (and my parenting) stopped being patient about 63 days ago.

1. We all really, really miss him.

(5 more days - yippee!)
