At Last

Finally, finally, finally.  Our stuff is all here!  Almost 3 months to the day we left Minnesota.  Our last and biggest shipment arrived in Zagreb on the afternoon of the 27th.  On a 36 foot long semi truck.  That is about 20 feet too much truck to make it anywhere near our house. So, we would have to wait another day for delivery.  After 3 months, one more day wasn't going to matter too much.  So they promised they'd come at 8 the next morning with a smaller truck.

They got here promptly at 8 with a smaller truck, but they hadn't transferred any of our stuff onto it yet.  Puzzling.  I'm not sure if they just wanted to get a lay of the land or what but it was an interesting(?) approach.  They hijacked Scot and went back to their home base and then transferred our goods onto the smaller truck.  This included Scot's motorcycle (ah, remember that purchase?).  Since they didn't have the means to tie it down securely in the smaller truck, one of the guys on the crew sat on it in the back for the trip back up to our house.  Again, interesting.

The crew was great - after a few trips back and forth from our house to the bigger truck and a pizza lunch, they were all done.  And so we've been unpacking for days.  Love having our stuff, but I'm tired of trying to find places for it.  I feel like we've been in nonstop chaos for the past few weeks with Christmas preparations, Christmas proper, and then this.  The upside is that we can use the extra square feet in our giant pink bathroom as storage.
